Gandhi Jayanti marks the birthday of the iconic Mahatma Gandhi, also known as the father of the nation. It is one of the national festivals of India. The charkha, or spinning wheel which symbolizes self-sufficiency and freedom, was the symbol of the swadeshi movement during the Indian freedom struggle. 

Students celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by making charkha through craft work which reinstalled the feeling of Nationalism and Patriotism in them.
